Enjoy live performances by performers from the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, as well as a Chinese tea demonstration expertly brewed by Tea Master Lu Yuanyuan from Linong Tea. As you relax in the company of delightful melodies and divine aromas, let us guide you through the fundamentals of traditional Chinese music and tea culture, and their interesting connections to ancient Chinese philosophy, cosmology and even meteorological calendar.
The Xiqu Centre’s iconic Tea House Theatre, with a design inspired by traditional Chinese teahouses, provides the ideal backdrop for an immersive tea and music experience.
Dr. Hui Yin, our currently Zhonghu Assistant Principal guides us through a journey of music appreciation with special guest Dr. Frankie Yeung Wai-shing sharing his wisdom on tea culture. Seamlessly blending different art forms, this multisensory journey offers a tangible understanding of the all-encompassing beauty of Chinese culture.
