Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association

The Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association is a registered charity. Over the past 48 years, it has earned a venerable reputation for its commitment to charitable causes and the promotion of traditional culture and music. The group comprises over 80 musicians, and includes two chamber ensembles – ‘YY PopUp’, a community outreach ensemble, and the ‘Hong Kong Legends’, a chamber orchestra of leading Hong Kong musicians in Western and Chinese music. The YYCMA is dedicated to performing the works of Hong Kong composers through a diverse range of bold and creative programs. It is sponsored by a number of public institutions, individuals and companies including the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Home Affairs Bureau, the Labor and Welfare Bureau, the Hong Kong Arts Development Coucil, and the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong.
