Principal Sheng Player of the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra, Lee joined the orchestra in 2019 and he has been the principal of the Sheng section since 2021. Attended Dr. Catherine F. Woo Memorial School in primary school, Lee started learning the sheng in primary one with teacher Yuen Kin Hei and conductor Rupert Woo Pak Tuen, and continues to learn with them till now. Also he studies the sheng with teacher Wei Shen-fu in the orchestra and previously with teacher Huang Ying-ti. Currently studying at Pentecostal Lam Hon Kwong School.
In 2024, he achieved a Grade 9 Sheng Professional Level with good results in the Central Conservatory of Music's External Music Level Examination. In the same year, he won the championship in the Advanced Sheng Solo category at the 76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
Since joining the Hong Kong Young Chinese Orchestra in 2019, Lee has actively participated in various sheng performances and exchange activities. These include performances in the ‘Preservation and Perpetuation of the Classics’ concerts from 2021 to 2024, a solo sheng performance at the invitation of the Education Bureau at the 2024 Hong Kong International Music Education Symposium (HIMES), the 2024 Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo opening ceremony and cocktail reception, the 24th Anniversary Celebration of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing in 2024, the 52nd Hong Kong Arts Festival ‘Music Journey in China—Dialogue between Bells and Organ’ in 2024, the Spring Reception by the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in 2024, participation in the 2023 ‘95th Anniversary of Broadcasting—Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs’ awards music concert, the maiden voyage ceremony of Genting Dream in 2023, the Chinese music performance to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in Kwai Tsing District in 2022, and the Sha Tin District celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with a Chinese music concert in 2022.
