Chan Nok-him

Chan Nok-him has studied piano and cello since he was small and first started learning composition at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, studying under Poly Ng. He has participated in the international Golden Key Music Festival’s Piano Composition Competition, attaining first runner-up and second runner-up honours. He was also the champion and first runner-up in the Composition Class in the 70th and 68th Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals, respectively. He was shortlisted twice in the ‘New Generation Call for Scores’ organized by the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild. His Shing Mun River Promenade was premiered in a live broadcast on RTHK Radio 4.
