Renowned conductor Pang Kapang joins the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra for the first time, presenting three iconic Chinese orchestral works: Liu Wenjin’s Jasmine, Kuan Nai-chung’s Symphony No. 4 and Liu Changyuan’s Fifth Chinese Symphony – Light, all compositions that blend familiar melodies with profound musical expression. As Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra and Suzhou Chinese Orchestra, Pang has pioneered Chinese music to European audiences, notably at the Golden Hall of Vienna’s Musikverein.
