Ke Yumeng

Gehu virtuoso of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Ke joined the HKCO in 2022. She started to study the cello at the age of 11 under Prof. Long Man, and she graduated from the Affiliated High School of Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 2015. Ke was the First Prize recipient of the Cello Concerto Class B in Hong Kong International String Competition in 2014. She enrolled at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with full scholarships in 2015 and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Music in 2020. Ke received the Master of Music with distinction under the tutelage of Prof. Ray Wang and Dr. Letty Poon in 2022. Ke is also a faculty member of the Junior Music Department at the Academy. 


During her studies at the Academy, Ke also received guidance from many masters, such as Yo-Yo Ma, Gary Hoffman, Li-wei Qin, Alexander Suleiman, Nicholas Canellakis, Orion Quartet, Endellion Quartet and Shanghai Quartet. Ke was invited to perform chamber music in the Hong Kong Culture Centre in 2021, she was also selected by the Academy to participate in the 2018 Kuandu Arts Festival in Taipei and the 2019 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial in Japan.
